The idea is obviously charitable. But it is also to make the everyday consumer aware of global concerns outside of their daily lives. This puts the consumer in tune with the world around them and can spark interest and concern about some of these topics like AIDS. It also then puts a consumer who was already out in need of Motorola Cell Phones contribute to something bigger than themselves.
